Love isn't always roses and romance. On Love Kills, American Jetset turns Valentine's Day on its head with four songs exploring the darker corners of desire, obsession, bondage, heartbreak, and revenge. Featuring "Black Hearts & Bloody Bruises," "Kill Thrill City," "Final Girls," and "Long Road to Nowhere," the EP takes the band's gritty rock 'n' roll foundation into darker territory. Subtle electronic elements and shadowy textures add a different dimension to the American Jetset sound without abandoning the guitars, hooks, and attitude at its core. The record closes with the dark ballad "Long Road to Nowhere," featuring Kevin Harrington on saxophone. Moody and atmospheric, the song brings the EP to a haunting conclusion and showcases a side of American Jetset rarely heard elsewhere in the band's catalog.
