In the Netherlands and Flanders, the carillon has functioned since 1500 as a kind of radio station playing the classics and hits of the moment. "Carillonneurs" were professional musicians who collected and arranged existing melodies, composed new ones and played them on the carillon for all kinds of events and occasions. It is with this in mind that WÖR arranges the material for their new CD. The "timeless" best from our regions, with one foot in the past and the other in the present.
