On their self-titled debut album, WOOLF (Ellen Tackenkamp, Marieke Smit, Mylène Berghs) does what they do best: mixing their well-written, intriguing folkpop songs with their perfectly blending three-part vocal harmonies. The EP consists of five original songs, performed by WOOLF and backed up by master musicians Mark Schilders, Luuk Janssen, Hugo den Oudsten and Maarten Hogenhuis. Produced by Paul Willemsen (Blackbird, Michelle David & The True Tones), this EP sounds as if the female version of Crosby, Stills & Nash entered the 00s and made a contemporary folk record, reminiscent of The Staves, Im With Her and Laura Marling.
