The Western Expanse Ep
In 1998, nearly two years after calling it quits, EMERY traded in their Marshall half-stacks for Twin Reverbs and regrouped as THE WESTERN EXPANSE. While still enamored with guitar interplay, the harsh edges of their previous post-hardcore sound softened and a batch of melodic indie rock songs with nods to Ian McCulloch's Candleland developed. THE WESTERN EXPANSE EP contains two songs (HOLLYWOOD NIGHTS, FEATHERWEIGHT CROWN) from a 7" released in 1999 alongside two previously unreleased songs unearthed from a 1998 practice recording. All songs mastered at Chicago Mastering Service by Greg Obis. FOR FANS OF: Built to Spill, Ian McCulloch, Jim O'Rourke,
