Back From Nowhere
After over 40 years as a keyboardist, guitarist and Pedal Steeler on stage and in the studio, it was about time to plan the release of his first solo album (with all of the live experience in bands like Grobschnitt, Pee Wee Bluegang, Jutta Weihnhold Band, Joachim Kuhn Band, Soul Train, David Johnson Band, Taco's Bizz and many more) . And as exciting and varied sound the titles of this album. The work as a musician, sound engineer and producer in the studio (for artists like Dorthe, Siw Malmkvist, Dunja Rajter, Baccara, Casey Jones, David Garrick, Edina Pop, Chris Howland, Ute Freudenberg, The Byrds and many more) was helpful in this project. On this production, almost everything comes from the pen of Thomas Wasskonig himself, only the choirs and the saxophone came from guest musicians. Wasskonig: " As an accomplished multi-instrumentalist you don't need to tell anyone what you want to have. You play it just yourself." The colorful album is a first cross-section of various styles by the musical career of Thomas Wasskonig and never gets boring.
