Belgian singer-songwriter Wolf Vanwymeersch (Waldorf,The Van Jets, Elefant) is releasing his first solo album The Early Years, an album that nostalgically reflects on Wolf Vanwymeerschs life up until now. Songs that look back on his childhood years are combined with songs that he actually wrote during his younger years. Vanwymeersch finished The Early Years a month after his father passed away and that colored the record. Although his roots lie in electric guitar music (Waldorf, The Van Jets, Raketkanon and Ian Clement), Wolf Vanwymeersch shares his version of singer-songwriter music on The Early Years. During the recordings of the album, he left the electric guitar aside as much as possible, learned to play guitar without a pick, in order to go for a combination of acoustic guitars and electronic sounds.
