Album nr. 2 from this Indian-Irish duo. The Indian elemants are more hidden this time; instead they added a mature blues feeling to the 11 Class A songs. The "new folk" some say! Checkpoint, like their first album "Out There", beautifully weaves two influences into a seamless whole. The instrumentation combines bluesy melodies with elements from pop, folk, rock and free jazz. To describe the album as a combination of the best of eastern and western musical styles would not be an exaggeration.
