Tugny, Emmanuel
Ronan-emmanuel
For his fifteenth opus, Emmanuel Tugny offers a "on the bone" naked version of a certain titles from his repertoire and a cover of Jacques Brel's "Les Marquises".<br />Ronan-Emmanuel sees a coherent set of titles from the musician, writer and philosopher born in 1968 revisited in live conditions by a voice that suddenly frees itself from the restraint it willingly displays on its orchestrated albums to take its sensitive ease on the unambiguous and almost sanguine beat of a piano that often evokes that of John Cale. Ronan-Emmanuel, although the work of a seasoned musician, has the grace and eruptive virtue and the sincere charm of a first record.
