The Traps "Is Set! ", the Helvetian combos first album, exquisitely and deeply rooted in the 1970s: as if the sands of the space-time hourglass had been instantly reversed, aided by the fresh, isolated Alpian air. These five rowdy characters, sporting the "Captain America" and "Billy" look straight out of "Easy Rider", through some witchcraft are able to preserve time and their unwavering beat - the carnal, bastard child of Steppenwolf, J. Geils Band and Mott The Hoople! Add to these noble foundations a dash of dirty punk oil à-la Motorhead, the zeal of The Datsuns, some vicious gusts of Rhythm'nBlues harmonica in declining mode, and then drop the entire happy mess into a heavy Jurassic Park hype and you will get close to this testosterone-filled elixir of youth that The Trap, within these 13 vintage tracks, have captured. Not hard to understand why we couldnt resist, for one second, the chance to release a French edition of this Rock'nRoll album: full of boldness and roughness that will tug at your gut while scratching your naked ears with gritty sandpaper!
