Celebrating A Mess
FFO: THE WONDER YEARS, HOT WATER MUSIC, MILLENCOLIN . Previous to founding this new band, members Bernd, Christopher, Lukas and Thomas cut their teeth in various bands, trying out pretty much everything from metal to flannel shirt acoustic stuff. As TIDES! they eventually joined forces to play enthusiastic, catchy punk rock, inspired primarily by US acts such as HOT WATER MUSIC or THE WONDER YEARS. Thematically, the Saarland natives' songs deal with change, uncomfortable realities and the ups and downs that come as results of their generation's expectations. With a self-produced EP already under the belt, TIDES! decided to team up with producer Phil Hillen (FJORT, PARACHUTES) for their first full-length, "Celebrating A Mess". The album was recorded at SU2-Studio and contains nine energetic songs that perfectly capture everything TIDES! is about.
