Stokes, The
The White Album
It's time to sing the old songs again. Worldwide we find more than thirty trouble spots where soldiers are fighting. In the mistaken belief that they are making this world a better place, that they are fighting for a supposedly better world, they sink deeper and deeper into a spiral of hatred and violence. In the late '50s and early '60s, Bob Dylan, Pete Seeger, and many other musicians began singing against the war around the world. Many of these songs seem to be forgotten as violence and wars of unimaginable cruelty increase in many parts of our world. "The Stokes" have now decided to bring these songs back into the world. On their forthcoming album they interpret Irish and international songs against war and for peace. They are supported by musicians and artists from Ireland, Canada and France.
