The Split Squad were founded a decade ago and comprise of Keith Streng (vocals, guitar) co-founder of The Fleshtones, Eddie Munoz (guitar) lead guitarist of The Plimsouls, Clem Burke (drums) Blondie founding member, Michael Giblin (bass, vocals, keys) a member of Cherry Twister and Josh Kantor (organ) organist for the Boston Red Sox. Their first full-length album since their 2013 debut. This opus also features an all-star cast of guests including Jason Victor (The Dream Syndicate), David Minehan (The Neighborhoods/Aerosmith/The Replacements), Scott McCaughey (R.E.M./The Baseball Project/The Young Fresh Fellows), Joe Adragna (The Junior League) Brian Hurd (Daddy Long Legs), and violinist Deni Bonet. The key word is fun and the varying genres that the musicians are known for allows a fine assortment of songs, all performed with smiles on faces.
