With his feverish voice, fast tempo and thoughtful lyrics, his alert, attentive music traverses Mandingo, Bambara, Sarakol, Songhai, Bobo, Peul, Malinke and Bozo traditions, while flirting with jazz. Live' brings together recordings from a concert given in Paris at La Villette in 1998.
