With Apres Ravel, Marco Sinopoli creates a recording project that brings the music of Maurice Ravel into dialogue with the language of contemporary jazz and improvisation, allowing Ravel's music to speak through contemporary jazz, without rewriting or forcing. A composer and multi-instrumentalist, Sinopoli leads the group Extradiction in a work born from the need to identify common ground between classical music and jazz, consistent with the group's transversal nature.
