Silvertones, The/the Upsetter

Rejoice Jah Jah Children/rejoicing Skank

A 1973 Lee "Scratch" Perry affair with the harmony group The Silvertones, backed by The Upsetters. Mystical vibration, Roots music of the highest order. Taken from the album Silver Bullets, it has long been out of print as a 7" single; this is the first cut of the song, and it's the deepest."Blessed are all the poor, and blessed are all the merciful. We must pray for each other," sing The Silvertones. The dub version is pure Scratch mastercraft.
