The Cat Album
In the underground of the Limburg music scene, somewhere deep hidden beneath a mountain of old records and vintage instruments, lives a mythical figure named Erik Debny. For over thirty years, he has been making music, usually with a band of like-minded yet changing musicians who go by the name of The Shovels. Currently, members of HEISA, Tonsils, and Fence are among them, but in the past, veterans of Evil Superstars, Millionaire, and Starfighter have also passed through the group. The latest album, "The Phoenix Project" (a double album on CD, featuring a whopping 26 tracks!), is less than a year old, and yet another gem is already in the works! The title is "The Cat Album," and with that, everything is practically said. On April 20th (Erik's birthday), a new album by The Shovels will be released, entirely dedicated to cats. The album will be released on vinyl, in collaboration with the esteemed underground label Ronny Rex, and carries the entirely fitting title "The Cat Album." The first single, also the opener of the album, is "In Love With My Cat." It couldn't be clearer than that.
