Founded in 1991, THE SHANES - long before Russian disco and folk punk became hip trends - already combined elements of these styles and named it ,Hard Polka". 5 albums later the band now celebrates their 20th Anniversary with ,Road Worrier". On the new album infl uences of American Folk, Country & Western mix together and create a great release. With accordion, fiddle, fi ve-string and tenor banjo, mandolin, guitar (s), bass and drums and percussions TheE Shanes present a spiced with a big dose of enthusiasm mix of rock, (Irish) Folk, Balkan-/Gypsy sounds and Americana.
