Sehinkman, Esteban
El Sapo Argentino De Boca Ancha
If there was one album that was destined for vinyl for quite some time, it was this magnificent work by Esteban Sehinkmans trio, which was released on CD in 2009 and now, fifteen years later, arrives on 140g vinyl manufactured in Europe. A groovy album, recorded in November 2008 (it was Record of the Month at the Club del Disco at the time), it features a remarkable performance by Matas Mndez on electric bass and Pipi Piazzolla on drums, and would be the seed from which Pajaro de Fuego grew, a group with which Sehinkman has already defined an electric sound far removed from traditional jazz.
