The record company "Biotop Label" has become a kind of second musical home for Mathias Schaffhuser in the past decade. At the center of this period is the album "Diderot" with the single release "Abyss", flanked by three standbalone EPs. Unfortunately, the label from Constance has never experienced the popularity it deserved, and therefore Schaffhuser has decided to re-release some of the tracks from this period as an album on Ware. But of course not just in the already existing form: "Biotopical" combines on CD (!) tracks from the three EPs plus the compilation contribution "Morose" and an "Abyss" remix, as a 'continuous mix', similar to what Schaffhuser already did in 2002 on his third album "From 4 to 6 a.m." on Blaou Sounds - this time again including subtle creative modifications, transitions and overdubs. And as then, the tracks of the independently created EPs again result in a coherent album - from the compilation arises not only a groovy flow, but a more of the sum of the individual parts. Parts that at first hearing do not seem to fit together like the bangiing Rudolfo Irving version of "Ach & Krach" and the trippy "I Feel Everything", but positioned at the appropriate point in the mix harmonize perfectly. Of course, "Biotopical" will also be available in the relevant download stores, where, in addition to the 'Continuous Mix', all tracks will also be available unmixed in full length. Two exclusive tracks are also included in "Biotopical": The monstrous "Phantom Pain" got an even more kicking kick, "I Feel Everything"appears in a completely new dub version, and all were given a new mastering.
