Devil & Crossroads
Encouraged by a unanimous reception for the previous EP released in March 2012, "Devil and Crossroads" the debut album released on May 27, 2013 further refines the innovative BluesHipHop concept. The album revolves around unifying tracks such as "All, Now", "Evil and Crossroads" or "Ain't got no choice", where Song and Rap together testify to a definite unease about living in today's world. The band gives pride of place to musical flights of fancy, with guitars and samples intertwining on murderous grooves. Antibiotik Daw brings out his good old "Dans mes Poches" and invites Martin Jaussan from METROPOLITAINS on double bass, already featured on "Blindin' Blues" from "This is BluesHipHop" released in 2011. Slim Paul offers himself "Morning Rooster" and "Boy". These three previously unreleased personal compositions have been specially reworked for the album. Newcomers such as "Kind of Sign" and "Break the doors" return to the essence of what SCARECROW believes BluesHipHop to be: music that grips the soul, music that is sometimes tribal, whether it's ripped from a dobro or an old vinyl.
