The Wow Signal
Singer, lyricist and guitarist Greg Franco started Rough Church in 2005. After college he became the bandleader of Ferdinand. The group performed around Southern California earlier this century and also opened shows for Mike Watt and David Thomas of Pere Ubu. Greg went then to New Zealand to make a solo record with members David Kilgour and Robert Scott of The Clean in (2004) released on Powertool Records where he remains signed to this label for various projects. "The Wow Signal" was Rough Church's debut disc. Franco also started a label, Beautiful Work Horse Records. In 2012 Rough Church also embarked on their debut tour of New Zealand and Australia. Kaitlin Wolberg on viola, keyboards and backing vocals joins the band. Her credits include Moby and That Dog. Rough Church also opened for The Batz at the Satellite club.
