Rong Kong Koma
Lebe Dein Traum
The Berliner group's debut album - playful and danceable, punk and hard at the same time! Does that sound like a paradox? You might think, but Rong Kong Koma open up exactly this spectrum with tremendous joy and ease. Sebastian Kiefer, musical jack-of-all-trades on at least a dozen instruments, composer, lyricist, singer and children's book author, calls Rong Kong Koma on the scene in October 2017. Together with old friends from the bands Diving for Sunken Treasure, Huck Blues, Tu Amigo Soy and Skate Chords from the Kreuzberg and Neukolln punk scene, work begins on new songs that Sebastian had written. In search of the perfect symbiosis between punk and pop, an entire album is created, the mood of which the band describes as follows: "Aggressiveness and love. Madness and lust. Dancing and crying. Headphones and speakers. Drink and sleep. Fight and joy." It is best experienced live in a crowded club, the feeling of standing in the middle of a wild punk show, having to dance at the same time, singing lyrics without falling into slogans. A band whose concerts create space for wildness and tenderness alike. Songs that captivate with their simplicity when first listening, but develop complex playfulness and dynamism when you listen carefully. A quality for which Sebastian's extensive knowledge and understanding of music is essential.
