Redeem
Eleven
Redeems first album "Eleven" has been influenced by bands like Creed, Audioslave or the Foo Fighters. Right from the first run of the CD it's plain as day that the Swiss trio is on par with their role models.Stefano Paolucci's voluminous and soulful singing gives devoted emotion and melancholia every time, without losing the roughness which is essential for a rock band. The rocking guitars - as well from "Saint" Paolucci - with the powerful grooving rhythm of bass player Pascal Mr and drummer Simon Steiner yield their singer to the result. The strong production supports the bold sound with which "Eleven" becomes a generally well-made debut album. That Redeem looks out to a bright future, is a matter of the eleven very multifaceted songs. The typical new rock tracks like "Splendid", followed by "Two points of view" or later "Time" give the best impression what the band is like. As well Redeem can strongly show their soft side, with "Bullet" and especially "Alive". This song for sure is the highlight of album, with a seducing chorus that will never get out of your head.
