What first strikes the listener about the collaboration between Claude Tchamitchian and Vincent Lê Quang is a sound, a minimalist outline traced by the deep resonance of the double bass and the ever-clear lines of the saxophone. What other music but jazz, the quintessential music of hybridisation, could better reveal the roots of the double bassist and the saxophonist? While these roots lead us back to many of the worlds wounds (Armenia, Vietnam), we must also think of them as living, secret springs, "Silent Springs", which nourish the song of a music always ready to take flight.
