Pyre Of Descent
Albedo
Genre: Gothic Rock. In Digipak with 8 pages booklet! Pyre of Descent is an inward pilgrimage diving into the bottomless pit of one's own inner darkness. Away from the world of forms and into the realm of mind and mindlessness, symbols and archetypes; and then even further beyond, where distinction, definition and boundaries fall away; where all and naught converge as one and dance the dance of eternality. 'Albedo', as it is titled, reflects esotericexperiences of abysmal awe in terrible enchantment. The devotional songs on the album are based around the themes of light, inmost alchemy and the spiritual ecstasies in the tension of becoming and passing. The first single, taken from the album, 'Die for us' is a song like a funeral procession of pure love on the existential tightrope, over the smiling abyss of eternalitya paean, a prayer, an elegy. A cosmic beckoning in the shape of a vintage hard rock anthem. "Die for Us" bridges the old era of Pyre of Descent to the new with Daniel S. on lead vocals and bass guitar.
