Peters, Hal -& His Trio-
Crazed Mixed Up Blues
Hal Peters and his Trio, founded in 1984, focuses to authentic rockabilly music. Their repertoire includes both self-penned material and carefully chosen covers from the songbook of rockabilly legends such as Sid King, George "Thumper" Jones, Carl Perkins and Mac Curtis. The band became popular pretty fast and today they're an established and highly acclaimed act within the rockabilly circuit. Their debut album "Snatch it and Grab it" gained exposure and distribution when the Dutch rockabilly specialist label Rockhouse Records released it. More albums and gigs in Europe and the U.S.A. followed also backing the genre's 1950's legends Ray Campi, Joe Clay, Curtis Gordon, Mac Curtis and Hayden Thompson. Album "Crazy Mixed Up Blues" showcases Hal Peters and His Trio's deep knowledge of the musical genre they're devoted to. What we hear is again is both new material and covers of songs like "Gone Gone Gone" (Carl Perkins) and "Rattle Snakin' Daddy" (Hawkshaw Hawkins) just to mention a few.
