Formed in 1986 by members of the Stupids, Space Maggots and Anihilated, Perfect Daze went on to become the first band to appear on the legendary Vinyl Solution label and spearheaded the "fraggle" movement, alongside touring buddies Mega City Four, Senseless Things, Snuff and Sink. "five year scratch" features 22 alternative and demo recordings, remastered by Scruff from the band, which brilliantly captures the bands pop-punk 'n' roll style which made them firm favourites of John Peel. This is the only available recordings of the band. On their split in 1990, band members went on to form Lovejunk and play in bands such as Sink, Big Ray, The Adicts and Elmerhassel. Singer Laurence Bell also went on to form Roughneck records (leatherface, midway still) and then Domino records (artic monkeys, franz ferdinand, sebadoh, etc).
