Tone Float
"Organisation Tone Float" is the debut and only album by Organisation zur Verwirklichung gemeinsamer Musikkonzepte (Organisation), a short-lived German band that was a precursor to Kraftwerk. Released in 1970, the album is often retroactively associated with Kraftwerk due to the involvement of Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, who went on to form that iconic group. The music on Tone Float is experimental and largely instrumental, blending elements of avant-garde rock, free jazz, and krautrock, with an emphasis on improvisation, acoustic instruments, and ambient textures. It's markedly different from Kraftwerk's later electronic sound but provides insight into their early explorations of sound and structure.
