With GLOW, Oberer Totpunkt presents the second work in its trilogy, following the album FIRE, released in 2025. The third album, ASHES, is scheduled for release in 2027. Together, the three albums connect the band's artistic work and explore the three facets of OT: the power of anger, the power of imagination, and the power of thought always cloaked in the power of the spoken word and razor-sharp electronic sounds. The lyrical worlds of GLOW lead into a cosmos filled with bizarre imagery, unleashed through a musical mélange of psychedelic beats, disturbing visions, disintegrating rhythms, and voices from the in-between like mirages caught in the smoke of flames. Where FIRE was still blazing, GLOW remains: the songs dismantle certainties, drift into hallucinatory dystopias, and weave cold machine sounds with hypnotic fragments. GLOW is a soundtrack of decay, a staggering dance across scorched earth. Between hallucinatory soundscapes and dystopian fragments, destruction transforms into surreal magic. Like an echo after the explosion, the album tells of dissolution and renewal the afterglow of a world on the verge of disappearing.
