Noel Johnson is a Birmingham native, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, recording engineer and music producer. He graduated from the Alabama School of Fine Arts with a focus in creative writing, studied drums and percussion in The University of Alabamas Jazz Studies program. He spent a great deal of his creative energy with his former band, The White Oaks. Hes spent the last several years traveling internationally and writing songs for his first full-length record, I Wont Answer. It has been an artistic work of long suffering but this label debut is beautifully cinematic in nature. Noels baritone delivery and sharp lyrical imagery create a luring mystique drawing comparisons to Beck, Leonard Cohen, and The National.
