Nocella, Larry

Everything Happens To Me

In November 1980, Nocella recorded his only all-jazz album "Everything Happens To Me" in a quartet. In this regard, Nocella enthusiastically declared: " a very important fact happened to me recently. Three American musicians, Dannie Richmond, Cameron Brow and Bob Neloms, have agreed to collaborate with me on a record of my own. I was able to do the things I said and how I wanted and they indulged me in an exquisite way to say at least". The session was organized in Bologna by Alberto Alberti, founder with Veschi of Red Records, who took advantage of the Mingus Dynasty's Italian tour to ensure the saxophonist a rhythm section of great experience and undisputed stature. With Neloms on piano, Brown on double bass and Richmond on drums, Nocella immediately established an understanding and always showed himself available to receive the stimuli he received from his colleagues
