An album is the photography of the personal and artistic route of an artist at a given moment. As such, Starshine reflects the last two years of Ron Moor, whether it is in his composition or in his texts. Musically, Starshine receives classic theoretical contributions, developed by Ron Moor since a few years through its diverse musicological studies and projects. The arrangements (harmonization, works of point-counterpoint, etc.), in particular for symphony orchestras, confer on certain tracks (You Saved My World or Evyta for example) a rich, evolved and original musical dimension. Sonically, Starshine enjoys a power and a clarity that remind the albums of international bands such as Muse, 30 Seconds To Mars or Paramore. The musical meeting between Ron Moor, Luc Tellier (producer of Simple Plan among others), and Damien Bolo (C2C) allowed to give to the project a content all the more effective, American and mainstream. Written in California, the lyrics of Starshine perspire the spontaneity and the authenticity of Ron Moor's American adventure. The song Princess, the true story of a young woman glimpsed in a train between San Diego and Los Angeles, and reduced to the status of "sensual bride" shows it. Evoking at the same time meetings (Princess, Starshine, Cast In Stone, You Saved My World), his analysis towards the world which surrounds him (We Are The Broken, Keep It All, A Brand New Day) or still graver themes such as disease (Evyta, Radio, The Answer), Ron Moor expresses brilliantly what and how he feels, while leaving free court with the imagination and the reflection of the listener - reader. In this opus, the words are not just a support: they play a key-role, a release, in the artistic approach of their author. Starshine is thus an authentic and spontaneous summary of the meetings and travels that punctuated the latest years of Ron Moor. Starshine is personal and universal.
