Montparnasse
La Vie Revolver
It was in 2007 that Jean-Patrick Capdevielle produced the first songs of Philippe Deyrieu, a self-taught neighbour. Philippe will use the stage name of MontparnassE in honour of the area where they met. Philippe already plays a lot on stage and settles into the songs that will eventually make up his first album: "Anachronique" by Ken Ploquin (Bashung, Daho, Hugh Coltman). The songs "M'enfermer dehors » and the duo with Sylvie Hoarau (Brigitte) "Ce n'sont pas des anges" will meet with promising success and appreciation. MontparnassE interprets this album all around France and beyond. then finally stops in London where he will produce his second album "Studio d'Eux". Abbey Road will be the home to this second opus directed by Chris Bolster (Coldplay, Paul McCartney, Oasis). For 10 days, locked in the legendary studio number 2, Philippe will recognise later in an interview: "I had the impression that I got closer to the ghosts of my pop idols giving me inspiration". Returning from England, he attended the famous "canapé rouge" Tv show animated by Michel Drucker to celebrate Jean-Paul Belmondo's birthday, who will be honoured by the tribute from Philippe singing his freshly recorded song: "Quand j'étais Jean-Paul Belmondo". In 2013, MontparnassE signs the original soundtrack of Marc Esposito's movie "Le Coeur des Hommes 3 »: after then, a tour will start from which will be released the album "Détours live". this unique live album is still considered as one of the best "one shot" 2014 records. 3 years later the third studio album entitled "(des) Couleurs manifestes " is released with great feedbacks. it will be the trigger to meeting incredible people... CALI with whom he co-signs and sings the moving song "Ecoute moi jusqu'au bout". Philippe will also meet the immense Bernard Lavilliers during the radio show "Grand Studio RTL ». from this encounter, the singer & poet will give Philippe "the keys" to the first act of one of his future concerts. Finally, back to his childhood poetry, Philippe will end his album interpreting the song "Ma France" by Jean Ferrat, with a lot of modernity and humility. it will become a recurrent song very much expected by his fans during each concert. For this album, the songwriter makes a musical U-turn with the introduction of electro sounds close to the style of the song "Another strange day". Distancing himself from musical trends, Philippe continues to confirm his style, caring more about developing his music and nurturing it with different subjects and different environments from one song to another. What is important to him is to "tell a story with a melody that will be remembered". One thing is certain, after a 3-year absence, MontparnasseE masters his subject. "La vie revolver" New album.
