Maria Mohn's beautiful voice and strong communication skills were discovered last year when she recorded the Christmas album 'Over deg vil stjernen skinne'. This was the voice Erik Hillestad was looking for for the eleven lyrics he has written, which deal with everything from everyday vulnerability, the mysteries of youth and grief over brutal events in the world. Throughout the texts shines the hope that is rooted in Hillestad's firm conviction that we all have access to God's embrace. He foresees a heaven above our small lives, making them bigger, more meaningful. This certainty means that he boldly invites people to join him in untested freedoms.
