Midnight, The
The Legend Has Begun
The Midnight were formed in 2003, a Tuscany-based Folk-Medieval-Fantasy band of minstrels. The choice to be called "Midnight" is not accidental: "midnight" is a metaphor not only of a past time, but also a "mysterious elsewhere" the magic hour of the night for excellence, where fairies and elves dance in the woods, the wizards prepare their spells and the witches gather under a large walnut tree. "Minstrels" thus, offering melodies inspired by Celtic, medieval and renaissance sweet ballads but also lively rhythms drawn from popular culture and folk music. All made more attractive from setting and costumes inspired by fantasy culture. The show intends to make reliving, through musical notes, scenery and costumes, the charm and enchantment of the "fantasy literature" a kind of narration between epic and fantastic, magical and mysterious, where narrated events are set in a time and a world imaginary in the "middle land" the linking ring between a permanent medieval, an improbable future and an alternative universe populated by magical creatures.
