M.i.a.
Just A Dream (random)
This 7" has two tracks recorded in 1984. Just A Dream originally appeared on the "Flipside Vinyl Fanzine Volume 2" compilation released by Gasatanka Records in 1985. Turning Into What You Hate was part of the "Half Skull" 4-band 7" compilation issued by O.tis "O. Barthoulameus label Insane Industries in 1984. These two songs showcase M.I.A. at their peak with their unrelenting guitar-driven hardcore punk coupled with Mike Conleys trademark melodic vocals. Turning Into What You Hate was written after a show M.I.A. played with Suicidal Tendencies. A reflection on a changing scene with a lot more fights and nonsensical violence than necessary. 300 copies of this 7" were issued for the bands first ever European tour fall 2024. The few left over copies are made available now while stocks last. The cover features exclusive artwork by long time friend, artist Bad Otis Link. This release comes in 4 different vinyl colors, 2 different cover lay-outs, 5 different cover color combinations, 2 different inside cover layout and 4 different shades of inside cover print. The completists real challenge here is to find 2 identical copies! (note: this 7" is the same disc that was included -without a cover, in the handscreened version of the "Murder In a Foreign Place" LP)
