Lord Infamous
The Man, The Myth, The Legacy
Ricky Terrell Dunigan (November 17, 1973 - December 20, 2013), known professionally as Lord Infamous, was an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He was the nephew of DJ Paul and one of the co-founders of Three 6 Mafia. His lyrics touched on macabre subjects such as Satanism, mass murder, and torture, along with more traditional themes such as sex and drug use. In 2006, following jail time which led to a breach of contract with Sony, Lord Infamous was forced to end work with Three 6 Mafia, leaving the group on good terms. This is a reissue of his 2007 solo double album. As a founding member of Three 6 Mafia with his younger brother DJ Paul, Lord Infamous played a key role in the group's success and helped propel them to win an Academy Award in 2006 for "Best Original Song" in the film "Hustle & Flow". His signature triple-time flow undoubtedly contributed to the rise of the multi-platinum group and his violent, often horrific lyrics are one reason behind the "666" in "Triple 6 Mafia."
