Excellent, anthemic punkrock with a legendary street- and ska-punk background. What a progression over the last 15 years: what began as three expatriate Americans with a heavy Operation Ivy influence, developed over the years into Oi!-punk with style, and is now better than ever! With their fifth album, the power trio accomplishes the big breakthrough. Nick's California background shines through on the first tracks: the choruses are sun-drenched beach punk with amazing guitar work. In between there are never-been-better excursions into ska and dub reggae, super rockabilly licks from guitarist Felix, and folky punk that is reminiscent of not only the Pogues but also newer Dropkick Murphys. The intelligent and socially critic lyrics again mirror the influence of Strummer and Waits. A real knockout over 13 rounds.
