Life In A Blender
The Heart Is A Small Balloon
The New Yorker recently called Life in a Blender "a long-running Brooklyn institution specializing in quirkily heartfelt pop that is both surreal and thought-provoking". The bands newest album was chosen as a Best Album of the Year by George Graham at WVIA and David Wechsler, music writer. The NY Daily News said, "The bands orchestrated music is a covert beauty....the album is packed with cleverly disturbing lyrics and askew music.......an event worth cheering." The Jersey Beat called the album: "A terrifically dark and despairing work of beautifully bleak and burnt-out oddball art." The song "What Happened to Smith" about the gentrification of Brooklyn, landed the band a feature in The New York Times.
