Liederjan

Es Macht Ja Auch Spass

Liederjan is turning 50. Not exactly old but certainly for a stage anniversary. They're celebrating with their 25th new album. 2025 will also be the band's farewell year from the stage. The band will only be able to perform live in 2025. The group is now 50 years old, and a dozen musicians have shaped it (not all at once). And since 2004, they've also had a female musician; that's when Germany's longest-serving boy band became a mixed male choir with a female member. The band has released 24 albums with their signature blend of folk, chanson, cabaret, and sophisticated nonsense including the new one. They use countless instruments, including tuba, accordion, zither, ukulele, and harmonium, as well as saxophone, concertina, and various flutes. Looking at the stage, the audience often wonders how many people are in the group. But there are still "only" three of them, and they can perform without instruments, as their flawless choral singing proves. Many years ago, the Liederjans even received the "German Cabaret Award" for this relaxed mix of styles. On their current album, they sing about longings and self-deception, about age, and about beginnings and endings. But they also raise questions such as the inspiration for rhymes and the meaningfulness of certain vehicles. Of course, instrumental pieces also find their place among all the "fun" for relaxation. All in all, they'll once again work your funny bones and warm your heart, because it's fun, too!
