Perdu Dans Un Rêve
Born of seven years of research, Perdu dans un rêve conceives the trio of drums and cymbals, bass clarinet and electric guitar as a sonic field released from habitual forms and temporal constraints. Its horizon is an informal, non-representational music nourished by interiority and attention to silence/ Schoenberg and Kandinsky inspire musical gesture freed from predetermined idiom. Original compositions and collective improvisations coexist with Paul Motian and Monteverdis Lamento di Arianna, forming a constellation beyond genealogies and genres. The album transforms repertory into psychic matter: contraction and expansion, density and void, memory and abstraction shape a landscape where meaning does not precede sound, but arises through the encounter of sounds, silences and imagination.
