Lakhdar, Hanou -ensemble-
Argile
Lakhdar Hanou has drawn this album from an ancient Mesopotamian story. With the complicity of his oud - storyteller of the orients - he outlines a scenario with priestesses heirs to these myths, who will make the voices of the past vibrate. Built from the Sung texts of the Syrian poet Adonis and the first mythological stories on clay tablets, ARGILE echoes to our modern Babylone : the narrative music becomes a pretext to compose themes about the first of the floods in the form of an oriental requiem, with playful rhythms and improvisations to escort the epic saga of Gilgamesh. An acoustic ensemble with piano, vocals, percussions, violin and cello archers is much needed to make the mesmerizing melodies vibrate with classical sounds and eastern-western tones . The goddess Ishtar conquers again her letters of nobility thanks to the devotion and to the trance of a dance. An album summoned to bring back some feminine truths in order to make the clay essence of which we are all kneaded resonate.
