Lacerenza, Michele

1000 Dollari Sul Nero

Who do you want to be? Unmerciful Sartana or vengeful Johnny? Whichever would be your choice, youll have the chance to personalize this flip-cover edition on CD of the original motion picture soundtrack of the movie 1000 DOLLARI SUL ROSSO. 1966, we are on the rising Italian Western wave, a rich gold vein just discovered two years before by Sergio Leone. Director Alberto Cardone digs in this vein realizing this movie that introduces for the first time the Sartana character, at least in the name, interpreted by a ruthless Gianni Garko, his enemy is his brother Johnny (Anthony Steffen) and he is just come back into his hometown with a lot of unanswered questions. The score on horseback of an impetuous musical period for this filmography is composed by the popular performer of Morricone deguelllo in PER UN PUGNO DI DOLLARI: Michele Lacerenza, key composer and performer in the western genre of which this score literally sweats (also present the harmonica played by Franco De Gemini!). A new edition for all of those that do not have this score, with a 12 pages booklet full of pictures and in-depth liner notes on movie, director and composer by English critic John Mansell. The master has been prepared at Beat Records Studios in January 2013 and it has been done thanks to original first generation master tapes availability, in a very good mono, and from which we could be taking an interesting cue never released before: a suite of unpublished material that lasts more than 7 minutes in order to enrich your listening experience. Johnny or Sartana? Good or evil? And. are you sure you can perceive the borderline?
