Danny Kolke is a pianist of intensity and fire. This release, A New Meaning, was his first outing, along with Phil Demaree on bass and Greg Williamson on drums. The original compositions pay homage to Keith Jarrett, Gene Harris, Thelonious Monk and McCoy Tyner. Kolke now holds down weekly gigs at Boxleys - a new jazz club in North Bend, WA, which is presenting many Pony Boy Artists and new recordings.
