Fearless Friday
Fearless Friday (2015) marks a key moment in the career of pianist and composer Omer Klein. Recorded at Bauer Studios after a year of touring, it introduced the re-formed Omer Klein Trio with bassist Haggai Cohen-Milo and drummer Amir Bresler. The album features six originals and a re-imagined version of Duke Ellington's "Azure." What defines Fearless Friday is not only its repertoire but also the energy of a trio shaped on stage: each track carries its own atmosphere, while the improvisations are full of spontaneity and fearless exploration. The recording also expanded the trio's international recognition. With its blend of lyricism, rhythmic vitality, and cosmopolitan influences, Fearless Friday confirmed Klein as one of the most original voices in jazz. In later years, he released acclaimed albums, blending Middle Eastern traditions, European nuances, and the pulse of New York jazz.
