Tenorsaxofonist Kalaparush Maurice McIntyre behoort tot de oprichters van de AACM (in 1965), maar heeft nooit de bekendheid gekregen die mede-oprichters als Muhal Richard Abrams, Lester Bowie of Roscoe Mitchell wel ten deel viel. Zijn nieuwe cd is tamelijk compromisloos. Echter, voor de liefhebber van muzikanten als George Freeman, Muhal Richard Abrams of het Art Ensemble of Chicago zeker de moeite waard.
