The Colour Of Happy
The Colour Of Happy is the first full length JCI release that was produced entirely by iconic Canadian musician, Moe Berg (The Pursuit Of Happiness, Trans-Canada Highwaymen). He had produced six songs on the JCI's previous release, Yesterday's Misadventures. Moe also contributes guitar and vocals to several tracks. Purely a power pop record, TCOH showcases veteran Toronto singer/songwriter James Clark's pop sensibilities and well crafted songs. "The 10 song record is pure power pop with hook laden guitars, catchy choruses and 3 minute tunes that harken back to the days of the jukebox. Clark's lyrics have earned him comparisons to Elvis Costello, Ray Davies and Joe Jackson." - spillmagazine.com "This album (The Colour Of Happy) is all good, a bevy of melodic delights, resting on some obviously strong influences but never just colouring between the lines." - Dennis Pilon, poprockrecords.com "An album full of hooks and choruses, beautifully performed and arranged, everything that a great power pop record should be." - Don Valentine, hearasingle.blogspot.com
