Hubsch, Wierbos -& Schubert-

For Albert; The Longrun Development Of The Universe

For over twenty years, HLongrun Development of the Universe has been developing music based on improvisation and compositions from other people's and their own pens. Following the CD For Misha, which was dedicated to the music of the Dutch music magician Misha Mengelberg, the live recording For Albert now pays homage to the German jazz genius Albert Mangelsdorff. Matthias Schubert, who played in the Albert Mangelsdorff Quartet and Quintet from 1986 to 1990, provided first-hand information. With all due respect to the old trombone master, Mangelsdorff's pieces are not safe from excessive real-time editing in the hands of this trio. They serve as starting points for excursions, as secret double bottoms and as a reason to constantly express everything in a new or different way. When the three improvisers beat the pieces with humor and lightness, Albert Mangelsdorff is the fourth man. Remembrance often makes the unexpected emerge more clearly. Evergreens such as Ant Steps On An Elephant's Toe or Hot Hut alternate in sometimes wild suites with pieces from Hown pen. With this trio Carl Ludwig Hubsch realizes what he had always dreamed of: In improvisation, any music is possible. One is reminded of the phrase from the Blues Brothers movie: "Are you the good old boys?". . This CD presents blind agreement, comprehensible to every ear. A culture of remembrance for the enjoyment of free spirits.
