Hawaiian Pistoleros
Me And My Shadow
Me And My Shadow is the first LP from the Hawaiian Pistoleros. It follows "When Evening Is Nigh", EP nominated for AWAAwards (Academy of Western Artists, USA) in 2016. The sextet delivers an original sound, rarely heard on the French mainland , mixing Western Swing, Hawaiian music and the roots of Rock'n'roll.... Far from the beaten track, the Hawaiian Pistoleros roam the musical landscape of "their" America, an imaginary continent somewhere between Paris-Texas and Twin Peaks. To the sounds of steel-guitar and ukulele, we stumble across the ghosts of Bob Wills and Milton Brown, the slender silhouette of Hank Williams and the shadow of Gram Parsons... And if you listen carefully, you can hear the languid echoes of the Pacific, or maybe a train whistling in the distance. It can only be the "Mystery Train" as celebrated in its time by the King himself..."
