Glincolti

Glincolti

A lethal mixture of funk, prog and jazz fusion is a test of courage, a raw diamond. Not only for the choice of being an instrumental band, but especially for the genre of reference that in our country cannot count on a huge scene of reference from many years and on few devoted artist. In this view, the presence of Enrico Gabrielli, from Calibro 35, as special guest should not be seen as an accident. 13 spotty tracks spotty, moving from quite different sounds: from "latin" "South America", to warm atmospheres similar to Premiata Forneria, sometimes exploding into a funky sound that make you move your leg, (in songs like "Hutchinson", for example, that reminds you Thomas Milian best-aka "the big rubbish" - an old movie of the 70s. But Oliver Onions are only one of the possible references on this album: the best season funky is there, from Kool and the Gang to Earth wind and fire. Technically an album of great depth, the composition - unlike most young bands - is sophisticated, robust, ensuring timely and exciting. Good rhythm section-very clean and efficient battery-studied guitar riffs, beautiful woodwinds Brunetta Alexander, whose grafts is really the value added of the album.
